Family Picnic

The Annual Parish Picnic will be held on Sunday, July 12, from 12:30pm to 7:00pm.

Please join us on this day for some food, fun, and dancing! Also, please consider giving a hand with one of the booths at this important fundraiser. The many volunteer opportunities will soon be posted in the bulletin. As in the past few years, 25% of the profits will be donated to the Merton Center for back-to-school clothes for the children served by their programs. In the coming weeks, we are looking for some help in making the pierogies and stuffed cabbage which will be sold at the Picnic, as well as donations to the Jewelry and White Elephant booths, two of our major fundraising sources.

Jewelry

Old, new, or broken jewelry may be left in the marked box on the back porch of the rectory or call Mary Anne Sulik (877-6573) who will be happy to pick up your donation. Please include your name and number when dropping off your items so anything valuable can be returned to you.

White Elephant

We accept just about any kind of “trash to treasure” item. Donations may be left in the center garage behind the church, just raise the door and leave your treasures. For insurance reasons, we cannot accept the following: any item that uses gasoline or electricity to function (such as kitchen appliances or motorized gardening tools); cribs, car seats, or playpens; sports equipment, or clothing. Help is also needed to “tag” and sort the donations on June 24 and 25, and July 1 and 2, at 7pm.

Groceries

Non-perishable groceries for the “Grocery Wheel” game may be left on the back porch of the rectory, or, on Sundays, brought directly down into the Parish Hall. Please check the expiration date on any item you donate to be sure it is current!

Pierogie Making

Whether you are a veteran “pierogie maker” or new to the art and would like to learn, we can use your help on two different dates; Saturday, June 13 and 20, beginning at 8am in the Parish Hall.

Stuffed Cabbage Making

Help us roll and stuff some cabbage leaves (while humming merry Polish tunes!) on Saturday, June 27 in the Parish Hall, beginning at 8am.
